The GR-1 is a basic, high-quality headshell designed specifically for HiFi users. Offering a clean, minimalist aesthetic, the Unitra tonearm is perfectly suited to a wide range of cartridges.
The GR-1 headshell is a precision tonearm component that allows for easy cartridge installation and replacement. Thanks to the standard SME connector, it can be used with any tonearm based on this design.
Included: cables with gold-plated plugs
The cables and connectors used in this headshell are characterized by exceptionally high quality. Additionally, the contacts are gold-plated, ensuring pure and lossless signal transmission from the vinyl record.
For easy and convenient connection, the GR-1 headshell is supplied with cables already connected to its connectors.
We recommend connecting the cables to the headshell and cartridge before mounting the cartridge on the headshell. Be sure to orient the cables correctly.
If necessary, connect the cables according to the specified colors and channel markings shown in the included user manual.
Cartridge setting and azimuth adjustment
When changing the headshell, it may be necessary to readjust the stylus pressure and vertical tracking angle (VTA) to maintain the highest possible playback quality.
For user convenience, the headshell can be removed from the tonearm and the cartridge can be conveniently mounted inside. The GR-1 supports all types of cartridges with a half-inch mount, providing complete freedom in selecting the sound that best suits your preferences.
The headshell used in Unitra turntables
The same headshell is used in Unitra turntables, forming part of the proprietary J-shaped tonearm, designed from the ground up by the brand's engineers. This design draws inspiration from the legendary Unitra Adam tonearm, combining tradition with modern engineering and attention to detail.
Made in Poland
Hand-assembled in Poland, the product comes complete with professional assembly and adjustment instructions and a set of keys necessary for precise adjustment. The fully adjustable headshell features an SME mount and a universal tonearm connector. It's made of anodized aluminum and is compatible with most turntable tonearms.
