The ZGZ-802 reference loudspeaker is an evolution of the acclaimed ZGZ-801, known for its mature, coherent sound and classic three-way design using proven, high-quality transducers. With the ZGZ-802, we remain faithful to that philosophy — no revolution, just thoughtful, measurable and, above all, audible improvements. This is not a replacement, it's a meaningful continuation.

The new cabinet improves both sound and visual impact. The extended front with precisely designed undercuts allows for better linearity of the characteristics in the mid and high tones.
The increased thickness of the front panel to 25 mm provides greater structural rigidity, which translates into a cleaner, more controlled sound. The whole thing is crowned by a new spike base.
For the first time, the ZGZ-802 features a solid steel base with precision-engineered spikes, developed by Unitra’s engineering team.
Beyond aesthetics, these elements provide improved stability and isolation from the floor, significantly enhancing acoustic performance.
Though small in size, spikes have a big impact — their inclusion was a direct response to feedback from ZGZ-801 users, who made it clear: this is not an optional upgrade, it's an expected standard.
The tweeter used in the ZGZ-802 is a magnesium-aluminum dome known from our ZGB-401 model. It combines high detail with smooth character and excellent off-axis performance.
The updated crossover ensures a seamless handoff between the midrange and high frequencies.
We also introduced a new 6-inch midrange driver, smaller than the one in the ZGZ-801, with a low-inductance voice coil for excellent impulse response.
Its carbon fiber cone ensures high stiffness, outstanding dynamics, and low distortion.
By lowering the crossover point between the midrange and woofers from 700 Hz to 360 Hz, the ZGZ-802 model delivers noticeably better stereo imaging and soundstage depth.
It's not just a change in parameters, but a real impression of greater space and depth. The difference will be particularly noticeable when listening to concert and acoustic recordings.
The crossover design offers a relatively flat SPL response and excellent phase coherence between the midrange and tweeter, as illustrated in the accompanying graph.
Every detail has been tuned to achieve an engaging, lifelike sound that remains true across different types of recordings.
A major upgrade in the ZGZ-802 is the crossover network.
Thanks to steeper filter slopes (3rd order for midrange, 4th order for tweeter) and a lower crossover frequency, we've significantly reduced midrange cone resonance, resulting in a more natural sound without harshness in the most sensitive part of the frequency spectrum.
